The
king has no clothes!
Remember
the old fable? And what about the saying: "Clothes maketh the man." I've
always thought that was a silly idea, after all they're only clothes...
But are they?
What
if no-one wore clothes? What if world leaders had to negotiate naked? What
if puffed up politicians had to discard their suits and ties? What if strutting
generals had to dispense with their buttons and braid?
Is nudity
the great leveller? Could it be that the key to world peace is not world
disarmament but world... disrobement?
And what
about your boss going off at the mouth, or that cop who just gave you a
ticket? Try this: Undress them in your mind. Better still, imagine them
masturbating. (They do, you know.) Suddenly the balance of power will seem
better balanced.
Just
another... wild thought.

Could
the power of sex stop wars?
Have
you ever come across that old story (from ancient Greece, I think) where
the women got together and ended a war? And they did it without resorting
to force or weapons of any kind.
Here's
how: They simply refused to have sex until the men stopped fighting!
Would
it work today?
Imagine
this enormous power if employed universally (the secret to the success
of the ancient Greek women) and applied not only to ending armed conflict
but to ending human rights abuses, political and corporate corruption etc?
Just
another... wild thought.

Are
women really slower?
According
to my studies of the research, a large majority of women say that when
they masturbate, arousal and orgasm occur easily and quickly. In fact,
just as easily and quickly as for most men.
Therefore
it must be the presence of a partner that slows things down. Why?
Poor
technique? Lack of communication? Modesty? Guilt? I will answer that question
with another:
If there
really is a great difference between the responses of women and men, how
much is due to physiology and how much is due to psychology - religious
influences, cultural conditioning?
Just
another... wild thought.

Could
something so humble save the world?
I was
in my car the other day listening to the radio. The interviewer was talking
to a researcher who explained that early last century the most popular
natural contraceptive was... the humble lemon!
Okay.
Okay. When you finish rolling around laughing I'll continue? Are you ready?
Good.
You see,
before having sex, women would cut a lemon in half, squeeze most of the
juice out of it then place the half lemon high in their vagina much like
a cervical cap.
Quirky?
Stay with me. Lemon juice kills sperm. Not only that... according to the
researcher, lemon juice kills the AIDS virus!
Unlike
contraceptive pills and anti-viral drugs, which people in the poorer countries
simply can't afford, lemons are very cheap.
Could
the solution to over-population and AIDS be that simple?
Think
about this: The Americans spent millions developing a pen that would write
in the weightless
environment
of space. Russian cosmonauts used a pencil.
Just
another... wild thought.

Is
that love?
Consider
a world without jealousy. Would it be a better place? How many murders,
assaults, even wars stem from this "natural" human trait?
Ah, you
say, "But it's obviously just a another manifestation of the instinct to
propogate the species.
Some
turkey tries to take my woman, or my man he/she's dead meat."
But on
this planet there are plenty of women and men
to go
around. That turkey is no threat to the species, just a threat to your
ego. And taken to the extreme, acts of jealousy become acts of genocide.
How does genocide propogate the species?
Acts
of jealousy are often claimed to be acts of love:
"He
loved her so much he killed her in a jealous rage."
Hang
on. Is that love... or hate?
Doesn't
loving someone mean wanting them to have
pleasure
and happiness? Is it really love if we want
them
to have pleasure and happiness... so long as it's
only
with us?
Just
another... wild thought.

The
trouble with oral
ALL women
LOVE cunnilingus. (Okay, maybe a few don't... but I'm talking about those
who have actually
tried
it).
ALL men
LOVE fellatio. (No dispute? I thought so.)
The problem
is, not all men love cunnilingus and even fewer women love fellatio!
Surely,
surely, SURELY there's great potential here. Just think how much happier
we'd all be if these two 'loves' could be brought into sync?
Just
another... wild thought.

What's
wrong with self pleasure?
Who doesn't
enjoy pampering their body and senses by taking a luxurious bath alone,
or eating a nutritious meal alone, or strolling in the forest alone? Do
we think badly of ourselves or others for enjoying pleasures such as these?
So what
is it with masturbation? Why all the guilt and
remorse?
If we weren't meant to give ourselves sexual
pleasure
wouldn't nature have placed our genitals
between
our shoulder blades?
Just
another... wild thought.

short story Sex Scam explores the origins
of our guilt about sexual self pleasure. You'll find it in

Ridiculous
and miraculous
Have you noticed
how disinterested in sex you become straight after sex? (Or is it just
me?)
Sometimes,
lying there spent and mellow, I reflect on this and can't help thinking
what a strange, funny and even ridiculous thing the sex instinct is.
That thought
soon passes and the familiar need returns as strong and urgent as ever.
Then I can't help marvelling at what a strange, wonderful and even miraculous
thing the sex instinct is!
Just another...
wild thought.

Is
sex without love un-natural?
If, as many
insist, sexual expression is natural only as a physical manifestation of
love, why are we so often sexually attracted to people we've never set
eyes on before, let alone love?
Just another...
wild thought.

Why
are many women afraid of "letting go"?
Consider the
following passage from the e-novel, Interlude:
Roger had read about women who were afraid of
letting go, of losing control, especially in the presence of men.
After listening to Kim at dinner, talking about the female libido, he wondered
if the reason might be a fear, perhaps unconscious, of becoming enslaved
to their own insatiability and therefore to men. What control would women
have over men without their so-called female mystique, their maddening
desirability tempered by fickle availability?
Is Roger onto
something?
Just another...
wild thought.

Sleeping
with and making love
'Sleeping with'
and 'making love' might be the most wrongly used terms in the English language?
Often these words are used to describe activities that have nothing to
do with love or sleep.
How often have
you heard something like: "We made love but I don't even like him." Or:
"I slept with Rhonda. We made love all night. Didn't get a wink
of sleep."
It seems we'll
go to any lengths to avoid saying simply: "We had sex."
Just another...
wild thought.

story "Sex Scam" explores the reasons
for our sexual fears and inhibitions.

Innocence
lost
Sure, sex is
everywhere these days and people lose their innocence (or ignorance) at
a younger age. But was it really healthier when they had to skulk around
like criminals to learn the 'facts of life'?
Just another...

Nature
knows best
Female arousal
is seldom referred to as an erection, but perhaps it should be. This wouldn't
diminish a woman's femininity; it would simply acknowledge that while men
and women are sexually complementary, nature has also endowed them with
sexual equality.
Cultural tradition
is the real threat to equality. For example: have you noticed how, when
referring to men, the textbooks speak of 'engorgement' and 'erection',
but often when referring to women, they use negative terms such as 'swelling'
and 'congestion'?
Just another...
wild thought.

story "Sex Scam" explores our sexual traditions
and inhibitions.
